Old Redford Academy is hiring a Director of Operations.
Old Redford Academy has new leadership, new direction and a new commitment to academic excellence. The academy is a tuition free, Pre-K to 12th grade academy that offers highly qualified teachers, free transportation, one-to-one student technology, an expansive athletic program, and a rigorous curriculum that is both standards based and culturally responsive.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Operations to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational management and a passion for driving efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations of the Academy, ensuring that all departments work harmoniously towards achieving our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the school’s strategic goals, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness in all business operations.
Performance Management: Establish and monitor performance indicators, analyzing data to improve operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Budget Management: Oversee the operational budget, ensuring prudent financial management and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity and performance across all departments.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement systems and practices to enhance operational workflows, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in operational processes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on operations.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders regarding operational performance, challenges, and progress on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications for Director of Operations:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of successful operations administration.
Collaborative and teamwork experience in an administrative team
Reflective professional practice and open for continued growth as a leader
Able to work in a fast-paced school environment
Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and a keen understanding of staff development initiatives and leadership involvement in professional development
Experience working with diverse communities
Stable temperament, the ability to work with others, and experience in creating and maintaining a professional learning community school atmosphere
Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication
Proof of leadership involvement in the schools, school districts, and school communities in which you have worked (preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and a keen understanding of staff development initiatives and leadership involvement in professional development
