This position requires strong interpersonal, organizational, computer systems and communication skills. The candidate must have proficient computer skills, preferably AS400 platform systems and Excel. A successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced group environment, prioritize and handle fluctuating workloads. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
General responsibilities may include:
- Process the complete cycle of Accounts Receivable.
- Prepares daily cash deposits and fills out cash control sheet daily.
- Manages postings to general ledger for cash applications, claims checks and wire transfers.
- Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.
- Reconciles discrepancies by checking sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepares correction documents as required.
- Reviews credit balances, refunds, and adjustments; reconciles, corrects and applies adjustments to billing records.
- Processes daily credit card deposits, weekly overdue list and cash report and monthly accuracy test and mailing reports.
- Investigate stale check inquiries.
- Files check stubs and bank receipts.
- Customer service - researches and responds to customer and underwriter inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Assists with related special projects, as required.
