About the Role :

Are you a claims management pro ready to lead, inspire, and drive results? We're looking for a dynamic Claim Unit Manager to join our team in Brookfield, WI and help us take our claims department to the next level. Under the guidance of our VP of Claims, you'll manage a talented team of Claim Specialists, oversee Third Party Administrators (TPAs), and ensure our risk management services are top-tier. Your Day-to-Day :

Here's what you'll be rocking in this role :

Lead, Coach, & Inspire :

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a talented team of Claims Specialists.
  • Provide feedback on performance and offer guidance for growth and development.
  • Help us find the next amazing teammate by playing a role in hiring.
  • Own Complex Claims & Legal Matters :
  • Dive into complex legal issues and litigation, ensuring fair and timely claims resolutions.
  • Be the go-to expert on managing complex claims from start to finish.

Be the Expert :

  • Provide expert advice on coverage, reinsurance, and general account management.
  • Tackle challenging claims and provide support to your team when needed.

    • Manage Our TPAs :

  • Oversee Third Party Administrators (TPAs) handling complex claims and litigation.
  • Ensure our TPAs stay aligned with company goals and maintain high-quality service.

    • Minimize Risk & Control Costs :

  • Protect the company by minimizing monetary risks and managing expenses efficiently.
  • Ensure all claims are handled per industry standards and best practices.

    • Collaborate & Improve :

  • Work with cross-functional teams to boost process efficiency.
  • Be part of the team that drives process improvement and continuous innovation.

    • What We're Looking For :

    If you have these qualifications, we want to hear from you!

    Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Risk Management, or a similar field).
  • 10 years of large loss / large account casualty claims experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Skills & Expertise :

  • Strong knowledge of claims processing, reinsurance, and risk management.
  • Experience managing Third Party Administrators (TPAs) is a big plus.
  • A leader who excels in communication and can inspire and guide a team.
