Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for assessing and analyzing business processes for operational effectiveness as part of the Project Management Office. Identifies, designs and implements process improvement solutions. Serves as a liaison between assigned business unit(s) and as a partner with PMO on assigned projects, upgrades and implementations. Supports bank software platforms, providing in-depth knowledge of the functional capabilities of specific software applications and a functional understanding of the user environment.
The Business Analyst II and Senior Business Analyst participate in more complex work and a broader scope; strategic work and / or technical work increases for those within the level II and Senior roles. They may serve as leads amongst the business analyst team.
Experience and knowledge of Jack Henry Core system and / or consumer and commercial loan product knowledge would be highly beneficial.
Essential Functions (All)
- Technical Subject Matter Expert on assigned systems that support business processes.
- Gathers requirements for a request, product proposal and / or for the project life cycle.
- Researches vendor and software solutions and participates in solution review, vetting and selection.
- Participates on project teams related to new product development and deployment, implementing new banking software, software upgrades and migrations.
- Builds test scripts based on design specifications and configurations and assists with validation tasks.
- Develops SDLC and technical reference documentation to explain product functionality, software applications, process workflows and data flows.
- Assists the business to develop process improvements, opportunities for automation and process efficiencies.
- Investigates root cause and assists with identifying resolution for supported software systems and file processes.
- Provides post implementation support for system changes and upgrades via Change Management and coordinates release reviews, testing and deployment tasks.
- Maintains an understanding of assigned bank lending systems and how they relate to each other and their dependencies.

Location Details
This position may be eligible to be fully remote dependent upon business needs. With management approval, an incumbent may work remotely to perform the regular responsibilities of the role. Remote work must be performed in Illinois. Business needs may require the incumbent to work onsite as needed; it should be anticipated that some onsite work will be required.
Compensation & Benefits

Base pay : $68,000-$90,000
Senior Business Analyst
Base Pay : $76,000 - $112,000
