Lead Cafe Team Member (Non-Costumed)

Old Sturbridge Village is hiring a Lead Cafe Team Member (Part-time 25 hours a week; benefits-eligible, 18 ) to join our Retail/ Restaurant Division. This team member will provide an excellent guest experience to Village patrons in the Ox & Yoke Cafe and other locations as needed. Working closely with the Retail Manager and Assistant Bakery Chef to increase sales in the Café. Essential Duties:

· Courteously greets customers in person informing them of current food and beverage options, daily specials, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food

· Basic cash-handling skills; utilizing POS

· Ability to provide excellent customer service at all times

· Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility

· Constantly keeping the area clean and neat and assisting other employees as needed

· Visually inspects all products to ensure all garnishes are added appropriately and all food products are eye-appealing as designed

· Light food prep, understanding of sanitation, and knowledge of the presentation of food, training will be provided

· Be an active member of the Old Sturbridge Village community staying up-to-date on Village activities and events

· Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.

· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

· Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

· Some heavy lifting (25-30lbs)

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Ability to remain standing and active for shift

· Ability to communicate

· Able to work well in a fast-paced environment

· Must have reliable transportation

Must be available to work Wednesday – Sunday. Some holidays and nights are required prior notice will be provided.
