What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Old Town Hot Springs?
The Facilities Technician is essential in ensuring that our members and guests have an exceptional experience here at Old Town Hot Springs. This position will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities of all areas of the facility, as well as making sure that we maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone. All activities performed will be in support of the Mission Statement and Goals of Old Town Hot Springs.

Schedule:
- Monday – Tuesday: 5:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Wednesday – Thursday: off
- Friday: 5:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Saturday – Sunday: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
Essential Job Functions
- Perform tasks required to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
- Work under the direction of the Assistant Facilities Director.
- Give direction to other personnel (Changing of shift).
- Help ensure the general safety of the facility.
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Keeping equipment in good working order. Perform minor repairs.
- Work with related vendors and service companies.
- Ensure a systematic approach to maintenance.
- Ensure that the facility is clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Respond to Members and Guests in a positive manner.
- Maintain proper appearance appropriate for the position.
- Attain Medic First Aid, CPR, and CPO or AFO certification.
Pools
- Maintain mechanical systems.
- Handle various chemicals safely.
- Monitor and adjust pool chemistry, and maintain pool logs.
- Maintain water flow for pool temperatures.
- Inspect and repair water slide.
- Operate pool vacuums.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of pools, decks, and related equipment.
Grounds
- Carpentry

Miscellaneous
- Help with special events.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Be courteous to members and guests.
- Be a good reflection of the OTHS to the public.
Position Requirements
- Have a high level of situational awareness, especially in regards to safe working practices.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to troubleshoot and recommend a course of action as required.
- Able to display a calm and helpful attitude while dealing with members, quests, and fellow staff.
- Ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to lift 60lbs. and be on feet six hours plus per day
- Respond to emergencies.
- Assist other staff when needed.
- Monitor and help maintain the cleanliness of all areas.
- Be available to respond to all situations in a timely and positive manner.
- Be courteous to members and guests.
- Be a good reflection of the OTHS to the public.
