What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Evaluation Analyst position at Old Town School of Folk Music?
Schedule: Full-Time
Location: Lincoln Square
Responsibilities include:
Collaboration with OTS leadership to articulate the desired outcomes of specific initiatives and their relation to the School’s mission
Development of tools and procedures for data collection, management, and analysis
Coordination of program evaluation activities
Quantitative research such as survey administration, data management, data cleaning and validation, and data analysis
Qualitative research such as implementation of interview and focus group protocols, data management, data cleaning and validation, and data analysis
Leading the development of data dashboards for OTS leadership to monitor progress toward desired outcomes
Leading the development of data visualizations, and other materials; Preparation of data visualizations, and other materials for grant proposals and progress report
Contributing to the development and maintenance of data documentation and best practices.
Conducting in-depth data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Incorporating data-driven methods around the collection and application of qualitative and quantitative data.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field.
At least two years of related experience in program evaluation and/or data reporting.
Demonstrated competency in program evaluation, process implementation, data analysis, and reporting.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.
Proficiency in data visualization and analytics, including experience with extracting insights from large, diverse data sets and using data-informed decision-making.
Knowledge on commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within data analytics.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Deeply connected to South side communities and familiarity with West side communities of Chicago desired.
Ability to imagine and create data gathering tools that inspire the South side and West side communities we serve to engage with assessment needs.

The ability to think critically to inform decision-making.
The ability to collaborate.

Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music (“OTSFM”) is the largest community school of the arts in the U.S. and a non-profit organization committed to celebrating American music and global cultures.
