Job Summary
The purpose of our Security Ambassador position is to ensure a safe and positive experience for our team members and our guests. The individual in this position will have a calm and friendly demeanor that is welcoming to staff and guests, yet firm and authoritative when necessary.
Job Responsibilities
- Move throughout and around the property in uniform (polo shirt) to maintain an obvious “presence”.
- Keep eyes open for any behavior that is unwelcome, inappropriate or dangerous and address it.
- Protect property from theft, sabotage, trespassing, and other harm.
- Protect employees and guests and their safe and comfortable enjoyment of our property.
- Neutralize situations calmly with tact and common sense.
- Call PD or emergency services when needed.
- Investigate and take the appropriate lawful actions on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activity, safety, and fire.
- Receive shoplifting reports and gather information from staff, contact PD, share info with PD, request charges be pressed, receive case number and recovered property. (distinguish between what staff “knows for certain” and what they “think they know”). DO NOT CONFRONT.
- Enforce code of conduct of the building.
- Provide general assistance to customers, employees, visitors, and|or the public.
- Communicate effectively with the management team, team members and the public.
