What are the responsibilities and job description for the Renovation Estimator position at Old World Classics?
Old World Classics, LLC, high-end custom homebuilder based in North Canton, OH, is a team of craftsmen and women who guide our clients on the journey of designing and building a new home that is built specially and only for them. Who we really are is a group of hardworking people that all share a love for building homes. We are seeking a self-starting, organized, motivated construction professional to work as our ESTIMATOR. The right candidate will be a strong addition to our team and will help to continue to build our growth for years to come. In this role, you will be responsible for the estimating large scale residential renovations, overseeing the maintenance of the estimating database, including price changes, base prices, scope of work changes, new floor plan additions, and option pricing.
What you’ll do:
- Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs for large scale, single family home renovations.
- Utilize sketch drawings to price houses for potential clients, including drawing up the detailed specifications with pricing.
- Work within the Sage 100 estimating/accounting system.
- Verify compliance with PO’s and issue/review variance PO’s as required.
- Continually update current pricing for standard plans.
- Create and maintain upgrade pricing for standard listing of upgrades.
- Negotiate with trades and suppliers to obtain the best pricing.
- Analyze and distribute pricing information to leadership team as needed.
- Review and analyze cost changes to provide and maintain accurate sales pricing and housing budgets.
- Manage the bid process for new and revised home plans as needed.
- Assist in special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
What you’ll need:
- A high level of construction knowledge and experience .
- Ability to complete full rough lumber & trim takeoffs, as well as detailed and accurate roofing & siding material takeoffs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Sage 100 is a plus.
- Administrative skills to manage daily purchasing and estimating workflow.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in construction management, supply chain, operations management, business administration, or related field.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
