Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements: Full Time Salaried (30-40 Hours Per Week)

- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team, cultivating a culture that embodies our values and fosters employee engagement and development.
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and guidance to team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to excel in their roles.
- Act as a steward of our culture and values, maintaining an environment of teamwork, excellence, and innovation.
- Financial Management:
- Possess a deep understanding of Cost of Goods and Labor percentages and employ this knowledge to effectively manage and optimize these costs.
- Demonstrate a strong track record in achieving and maintaining target profit margin percentages.
- Regularly review financial data, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Operational Excellence:
- Lead the team in delivering an exceptional level of hospitality and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the roastery.
- Create and manage schedules to ensure optimal coverage for production and fulfill labor margin targets.
- Implement error-reduction strategies, maintain consistency, and adhere to production schedules to deliver exceptional coffee.
- Continuously seek improvements and identify opportunities for additional revenue generation.
- Performance Targets:
- Achieve and maintain a Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) of <50% through effective inventory management and strategic sourcing.
- Achieve and maintain a labor margin of <15% by optimizing scheduling and workforce management.
- Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in leading teams, with a strong understanding of margin, cost of goods, and labor percentages.
- A must-have is experience in the specialty coffee industry, and knowledge of roasting processes is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Food Protection Manager certificate is a plus; must be obtained within 30 days if not already acquired.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain inventory of all production supplies and coffee.
- Collaborate with the green coffee buyer to place orders with supplier warehouses.
- Quality Control:
- Lead regular cuppings, and diligently log results for Quality Control analysis.
- Training and Development:
- Train and lead new staff in the production of coffee, including packing, bagging, labeling, fulfillment, shipping, and coffee roasting processes.
Compensation: $45,000 - 48,500 DOE, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits package.
