Cashier/Stocker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Stocker to join our team at our grocery store. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for both cashiering duties and stocking shelves.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with their needs.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Stock shelves with products, ensuring that displays are attractive and well-organized.
• Assist in the receiving of shipments, including unpacking, sorting, and storing items appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the produce section.
• Use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move heavy items safely within the store.
• Perform heavy lifting as required to ensure products are stocked and displayed properly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with an ability to engage positively with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels effectively.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed throughout the shift.
• A team player who can work collaboratively with others in a busy environment.

Pay: $17.90 - $18.68 per hour
