Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized produce section, ensuring all products are fresh and visually appealing.
- Stock shelves with fruits and vegetables, rotating products to minimize waste.
- Assist customers with inquiries about produce items, providing knowledgeable recommendations and support.
- Operate cash registers efficiently while processing customer transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is available at all times.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to move products from storage areas to the sales floor.
- Utilize forklifts safely for inventory management tasks when required.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to management promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience in collaboration sales techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic inventory management practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
