We are looking for some outgoing, hardworking individuals to join our hospitality team. While food services, customer service or sales experience is not necessary, a passion for people and a desire to learn something new is.

We have full-time, part-time and seasonal job openings. Positions are from $17 (Pay rate of guaranteed $17 per hour is based on $5.65 per hour plus tips).

Paid training will start in immediately. Ability for advancement for hardworking and committed individuals.

Essential Duties

• Report directly to hospitality managers
• Understand and follow opening and closing procedures
• Interact with guests and other teammates in a professional manner
• Effectively operate Point of Sales system (WineDirect / Tock/ OrderPort)
• Follow procedures for daily set-up, break-down, and sanitation
• Participate in all retail/tasting room business functions, including serving, busing, greeting/concierge, register, service bar, etc.
• Participate in organization and cleaning of the winery; both indoors and out
• Adhere to all Old York Cellars Policies and ABC regulations
• Provide Sales assistance. Presents options and alternatives to guests and assists in making choices.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and team members

• Ability to work under pressure and multitask, in a high volume, fast-paced environment while sustaining an outgoing and positive attitude
• Needs to be highly motivated, team-oriented, and able to effectively interact with a diverse array of people
• Maintain knowledge of our wine portfolio
• Maintain a professional image
• Follow and uphold all policies as directed by management
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
• Submit, in a timely fashion, monthly work availability to the management
• Serves guests in a positive and friendly manner
• Submits orders promptly and efficiently
• Protects Old York Cellars and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, indoor and outdoor
• Must be available to work weekends, including Friday nights
• Ability to stand and work at a countertop and bar for long periods
• Ability to walk, stand, and work on concrete and wood floors as well as stone, gravel and grass
• Ability to move around the entire property throughout the day
