Job Summary
Responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. Responsible for providing the plant with monthly production plans consistent with plant capacity and sales forecasts. Determines the desired levels of inventory for finished goods including stock levels. The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans. Strong collaboration with management, operations, sales, customer service, and management will be critical to meeting business objectives.

Job Location

Job Responsibilities
- Creates the master production schedule for our facility.
- Utilizes production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities.
- Analyzes and identifies risks associated with options built into the production plan, including lead times.
- Performs supply and demand analysis and highlights areas of concern.
- Makes delivery commitments on MTO products, which involve checking materials and availability of capacity.
- Develops inventory targets and manages production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit bases.
- Maintains finished goods inventory levels at target levels to ensure product availability and high levels of service.
- Projects finished goods inventory levels to achieve desired corporate inventory targets.
- Monitors actual output versus targeted output to identify gaps and drive solutions, including production metrics concerning performance.
- Reviews sales forecasts with management and suggests modifications consistent with knowledge of current and historical demand.
- Supports the SOP processes and meets to review performance against schedule, inventory strategies, supply plans to meet demand, and resource implications.
- Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary determined based on the needs of the business
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements.
- Experience using advanced planning systems.
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analysis skills.
- Requires 5 years in scheduling and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
