Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Pawn Broker to join our team. As a Pawn Broker, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients while facilitating pawn transactions and sales. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage inventory effectively. Beneficial skills would be jewelry experience, knowledge of diamonds and precious metals, old U.S. coins, which will increase the starting pay. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring their needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries regarding pawning items or purchasing merchandise.
- Evaluate items brought in for pawn or sale, determining their value based on market trends and condition.
- Process transactions using a cash register and Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain an organized inventory of stock, ensuring that items are displayed attractively and securely.
- Communicate clearly with customers about the terms of pawning items, including interest rates and repayment options.
- Supervise staff as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services offered and assisting with customer concerns.
- Promote sales of merchandise through effective communication and sales techniques, fostering a positive shopping experience for customers.
