Salary Range: $27.84 to $34.02 hourly

JOB SUMMARY: Reports directly to the designated Adult Services Supervisor. Provide individual and group counseling to clients in various treatment programs. This position requires you to work in with the incarcerated men in Yolo County Jail.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified or registered AOD counselor. If not certified, must be in process of obtaining certification.
- Minimum two years experience working in a drug treatment program.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Must be able to pass Yolo County Background check.
- BLS (must be AHA or Red Cross) required.
KNOWLEDGE OF WORK

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. | Conducts in person screening and evaluation of adult clients making recommendations for Substance Use Disorder needs. |
2. | Completes all client information and documentation in a timely manner according to Drug Medi-Cal guidelines. |
3. | Completes treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other forms and protocols in a timely manner according to Drug Medi-Cal guidelines. |
4. | Works with clients to establish long and short term goals. Specialist is responsible for detecting emotional, psychological, and physical danger signals. Specialist is non-judgmental offering Motivational Interviewing feedback and utilizing Stages of Change theory to support clients. |
5. | Provides information to clients including treatment alternatives and referral services. |
6. | Responsible for remaining within the ethical standards established in the field, including those of confidentiality. |
7. | Responsible for explaining and enforcing all rules and regulations associated with clinic treatment policy. |
8. | Compile and report statistics as required. |
9. | Attend clinical supervision and weekly staff meetings. Attend training/conferences as arranged. |
10. | Responsible for maintaining the standards as listed in the CommuniCare OLE’s Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual, and any other standards which may apply to this position. |
11. | Responsible for working with CPS, Drug Court, Parole, Probation and other agencies to collaborate on treatment needs and concerns as directed by supervisor. |
12. | Other projects as assigned. |
