What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Ole Hickory Pits?
Ole Hickory Pits manufactures state-of-the-art commercial, competition and residential barbecue smoker ovens. We are seeking a full-time painter to join our team at the Nash Rd location. An applicant who is capable and desires to grow and advance is preferred. This position will work in a fast-paced and challenging shop and mainly indoor environment with varying duties.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and painting bbq smokers and bbq smoker components
- Prep and clean material for painting
- Prepares paint
- Maintains company safety standards
Qualification
- Ability to use hand and power tools as required
- Ability to accurately use a tape measurer
- Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment
- Ability to complete projects on-time
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Willing and able to wear a respirator; a respirator medical exam will be required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills: 1-3 years spraying experience in a production environment is a plus
