What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Warehouse Manager position at Ole Mexican Foods, INC?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Oversee and coordinate the daily Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving activities. Ensure daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and increase the companys overall productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all products inventory and storage area.
- Ensure shipments and inventory transactions accuracy.
- Responsible for all warehouse processes, updates and changes.
- Main contact person for drivers, division manager and customers to answer questions and solve problems.
- Maintain products record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status and needs.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Ability to follow OSHA standards of safety and guidelines to ensure compliance
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Break down and build orders
- Load and unload product form and to trucks
- Able to drive forklift and electric stand-up pallet jack
- Must learn to use scanner gun and program (wizard)
- Drive to different location to deliver product
- Conduct inventories to drivers on a weekly basis both physically and electronically.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be comfortable in a warehouse environment/exposure to heat, cold and loud noises
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyzed data
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Shipping /distribution/warehouse experience
- Coordination Skills
- Bilingual-Spanish English Preferred
