JOB TITLE: Transportation Compliance Specialist

Job description: Transportation Compliance Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and
maintaining a companywide driver compliance and safety training program. Transportation Compliance
Specialist will also maintain all federal, state, local and FM CSA regulatory compliance filings for the
Owner Operator Fleet. We are looking for an experienced Transportation Compliance Specialist to
manage all aspects of DOT compliance, safety training through JJ Keller, Track and maintain safe hours of
service for all Ole company drivers, Coordinate PM service to all company vehicle lease, rented or own.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update all Driver Qualification Files (includes insurance certificates, physicals,
valid driver's license, vehicle registration, etc.)
Provide training/seminars to all drivers, as applicable, under corresponding state and federal
regulations.
Prepare and maintain records of all drug and alcohol tests (including random drug and alcohol
screening), as required.
Ensure driver are adhering to company rules and procedures with DOT rules and regulation.
Responsible for all Federal, State and Local operational regulatory filings.
Maintain and update a Safety Program that also includes the benchmarks for compliance both
with compare programs and DOT requirements
Research Industry Best Practices and stay abreast of changes or developments in the industry
that increases safety and adds value to drivers, to include identifying systems, technology, etc.
Prepare a written Fleet Management program detailing how the feet is managed, lay out
expectations, incentives, benefits, etc.
Establish Written Hiring Guidelines that would assist in the identification of qualifications,
testing, background, OMV, etc.
Establishes onboarding process and safety training sessions for all drivers and is the process
owner for all driver related safety training.
Ensure all vehicles Registration Filings including IFTA, UCR, Insurance are in good stance and
updated.
Provides support with analysis of HOS, Safety and Maintenance compliance with applicable law
and company policy.
Identifies regulatory compliance risks/concerns and make recommendations or take corrective
actions to implement solutions to improve controls.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Organizing and managing All company Leased, Rental and owned vehicles.
Analyzing and optimizing training session with all company employees who drive company vehicles.
Hold safety meeting with all company drivers, DM, BDM and TSR once a month and maintain record
of this for DOT purpose.
Reviewing, preparing, safety topic that need to be covered on the monthly safety with the Senior
Transportation Manager, Asst. Transportation Manager and Transportation specialist on topic to be
covered.
Ensuring the safe and timely all Hours of service and met and reported correctly or take action to
making sure that they are reported correctly.
Monitoring Sarnsara ELD/HOS and notify management if tasks are not met.
Addressing and resolving any vehicle accident that are reported and let insurance know.
Requirements:
Proven experience as Transportation Compliance (DOT HOUR OF SERVICE and Maintaining
Driver qualification file in order.
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of Compliance software (JJ KELLER, SAMSARA, ELD)
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Associate degree or Higher in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
Strong problem-solving skills.
