What are the responsibilities and job description for the SIA '25 Secondary (Grades 6-12) Teacher- Olentangy HS position at OLENTANGY HIGH SCHOOL?
There will be multiple Secondary (Grades 6-12) teacher position(s) available for the Summer Intervention Academy Program 2025 (SIA '25) at Olentangy High School, Monday through Thursday, June 9-18, 2025 (Session 1) and July 14-24, 2025 (Session 2) from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (8:30-11:30 AM with students). There will be no session on June 19, 2025. Teacher licensure required; experience working with students with moderate to intensive disabilities and knowledge of the Ohio Academic Content Standards-Extended; and attend a mandatory planning session from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM (date to be determined) and if new to SIA will need to attend a new staff virtual orientation (date to be determined) paid. Applicants may apply for one or both sessions.
Daily curriculum resources provided; may supplement resources to meet individual needs and daily planned theme activities. Strong support from SLPs, OTs, Behavior Specialists, Intervention Aides, and on-site Administrators.
Salary: Session 1: 4 hours x 7 days = 28 hours = $1,260; Session 2: 4 hours x 8 days = 32 hours = $1,440
Internal candidates (currently employed by the Olentangy Local School District) must submit an internal online application in SchoolSpring.
External candidates must submit an external online application in SchoolSpring and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application.
The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled “Do Not Reply” with the subject “Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application”. Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed
