We are seeking a skilled Classified Mechanic I to join our team at the Olentangy Local School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school vehicles, ensuring safe student transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair school vehicles to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Assist the Fleet Foreman with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks
- Ensure the bus garage is safe and clean at all times
- Perform emergency road service during and after regular hours
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in automotive repair or a related field preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
