What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Pupil Services- Olentangy Schools position at Olentangy Local School District?
There will be a Supervisor, Pupil Services position(s) available within Olentangy Schools for the 2025-26 school year. The Supervisor, Pupil Services is responsible for implementing, evaluating and supervising the special education, appropriate Title programs and related services. Works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to achieve this goal. Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible for valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio State Department of Education and Workforce.
Qualifications for the position include: a graduate or professional degree; special education supervisor and/or appropriate administrator's certificate; and, a minimum of three (3) years of special education classroom experience. Alternative to the above qualifications as superintendent and/or board of education may find appropriate.
Essential functions: coordinate the special education program for all special needs children in grade PreK through 12; direct the implementation of federal law and Ohio rules for education of special needs pupils; coordinate activities between the school district and outside agencies; attend meetings and in-services as required; responsible for reviewing cases pertaining to the alternative placement of pupils; responsible for writing grants for the special education program; and, administer home instruction services.
