Join our esteemed Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical, behavioral health, dental, and support services to communities across Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod. We invite applications for the position of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Addiction Specialist. This role is essential in coordinating psychiatric services alongside the Behavioral Health Director and Psychiatrist, and in providing direct care to patients with substance abuse disorders and concurrent psychiatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver treatment for substance abuse and concurrent psychiatric disorders.
  • Conduct diagnostic medication evaluations and manage medication regimens.
  • Collaborate effectively with therapists, primary care providers, and OBAT Nurses and Coordinators in patient care.
  • Manage medication refills for existing patients and provide assistance during bridge visits for those awaiting intake.
  • Support Primary Care and the OBAT team in urgent psychiatric situations.
  • Oversee discharge visits from referring facilities.
  • Engage in regular supervisory sessions with the Psychiatrist, adhering to PMHNP requirements.
  • Participate in diagnostic formulations and contribute to the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Take a leadership role in case conferences and participate in staff training.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
