What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiology (Non-Invasive) - Physician Opportunity only position at Olesky & Associates?
Physician / MD qualifications required) Cardiology (Non-Invasive) -
I am currently recruiting a Board-certified or Board-eligible, fellowship-trained cardiologist for the inpatient service of a Massachusetts area practice an hour South of Boston and also near Providence, Rhode Island. Both hospitals have non-invasive cardiology departments, offering EKG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, nuclear stress testing, Intensive Care Units, and cardiac telemetry. Both hospitals have cardiac catheterization labs and Charlton Memorial has facilities for coronary interventions, electrophysiology, open heart surgery, trans-aortic valve procedures. Each hospital team includes a cardiac nurse practitioner.
The successful candidate would see new and follow-up consults, both on the floors and in the Emergency Department and should be qualified to interpret EKG, Holter, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests. Coronary (catheterization) interventions are not required, but duties may require placement of temporary pacing wires, management of CHF, dysrhythmias, acute myocardial infarctions, and acutely-ill cardiac patients. Training in the management of intra-aortic assist devices (IABP) and Impella devices would be desirable. Patients are generally admitted and discharged by the Cardiologist. Specialty coverage includes a team of fellowship-trained vascular surgeons.
Our established Cardiology Division consists of 5 physicians covering a thriving outpatient practice and seeing inpatient consults at the two local hospitals.
The group is a -provider, physician-owned multispecialty practice. In addition to 40 Primary Care physicians, we represent various medical and surgical specialists, with laboratory and imaging capabilities. The outpatient Cardiology Division offers accredited 3-D echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and Holter monitoring.
The practice is located in an excellent medical community south of Boston and also close to Providence, Rhode Island. And the groups broad Primary Care base provides an excellent source of specialty referrals. The salary is competitive and commensurate with training and experience. Physicians are eligible for corporate bonuses and partnership. Of course, moving expenses, health insurance, vacation, CME expenses, and a K are included. The practice is in a healthy growth phase and is a solid and strong influence in this medical community. We pride ourselves on our excellent training, extensive experience, and careful attention to evidence-based and cost-effective care.
Located from Providence, RI, an hour from Boston, and a half-hour from Cape Cod and Newport, RI. The area is situated near cities, beaches, farms, suburbia, and virtually any type of living environment you prefer.
