Physician / MD qualifications required) Radiology (General) - I am recruiting a general Radiologist to join a busy imaging division of a practice in eastern Massachusetts. Studies are interpreted on main campus, even if performed at satellites.
Skill and experience required :
General radiology, abdominal imaging, orthopedic studies, CT, ultrasound. Credentialing in 3-D mammography (tomosynthesis) is not required, but desirable. Ability to interpret MRI, and specific training (Fellowship) in Body Imaging would be valuable, but not required.
Our radiologists do not perform biopsies, drainage or invasive procedures, obstetrical imaging, neonatal or pediatric imaging, major trauma imaging, nuclear medicine or molecular imaging studies.
Radiologists are on duty (on site) from 8 am until 6 pm during the week and a rotating half-day on Saturdays. There are no night-time studies and no emergency or on-call interpretations. Access is available to nearby PACS systems to compare previous studies. Speech recognition software is utilized. We would consider candidates who prefer only 3 or 4 days per week.
The practice is physician-owned and independent of the two nearby hospitals. The group is in a healthy growth phase, caring for a majority of patients in the area. We pride ourselves on our excellent training and experience, and our evidence-based and cost-effective care.
The successful candidate must be Board Certified (or Board-eligible) by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology. He|she must have sufficient training to interpret CT, and must be organized, efficient, and able to work effectively with clinicians and technologists. Superb communication skills are required and radiology reports must be clear, concise, and useful to the ordering clinician.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with the candidates experience, skill, training, and productivity. Moving expenses, health insurance, vacation, CME expenses, and a K are included. Fall River is 20 minutes from Providence and an hour from Boston, near Newport, RI, and Cape Cod, near abundant recreational opportunities. Virtually any type of living environment from city or suburbia to waterfront or farms exists nearby.
