Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Psychiatry / Mental Health-NP - The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will work in a Mental health | Substance Use Disorders setting providing services for inpatient medication assisted treatment program and behavioral health patients, as well as in an outpatient setting that focuses on co-occurring disorders. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will be responsible for performing exams and histories, prescribing of medications, and clinically indicated follow-up visits, ordering tests and treatments, and consulting with the clinical team.
Provide psychiatric and|or Substance Use Disorder assessment|evaluations. Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of therapeutic and evidence based treatment. Discuss and review role of anti-craving medications for relapse prevention. Request any necessary laboratory studies on clients as determined by results of screening or assessment. Provide individual|group treatment|medication management to clients taking psychiatric medications. Handle crisis intervention needs.
