PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTTIONER OPPORTUNITY!!!
Exciting opportunity for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to work on integrated medical/behavioral health primary care teams in expanding community health center. Experience with addiction medicine helpful
Provide direct psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic treatments, psychopharmacological evaluation management, and therapy to clients of the health center. Participate in mental health in-take conferences and in case presentations; provide psychiatric consultation to medical and mental health and substance abuse providers, as well as community providers when appropriate.
Experienced with out-patient and after care of mental health patients; substance abuse patients, specific knowledge of prescribing psychiatric medications and their possible side effects alone, and with other medications; knowledge of DSM IV manual for classification of mental disorders and dual diagnosis experience.
Ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced multidisciplinary practice and demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with underserved multicultural populations in a community setting.
