Job Description
PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER OPPORTUNITY - (OUTPATIENT)
Exciting opportunity for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work on an integrated medical / behavioral health primary care team with a expanding community health center.
The practitioner will provide direct clinical service to patients, provide clinical supervision to interns and staff, be involved in quality improvement activities, other administrative activities, and help to develop programming as needed by the director of behavioral health
Services provided include psychiatric evaluations, consultation, and treatment of referred patients; prescribing medications and follow-up medication visits; provision of psychotherapy; participation in mental health in-take conferences and case presentations; consultation and evaluation of patients in regards to crisis situations and admission to a psychiatric mental health and/or substance abuse inpatient unit
The practitioner will also be involved in program development and community consultation
Ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced multidisciplinary practice and experience working with underserved multicultural populations required.
A majority of the patients served as Spanish Speaking - Practitioner preferred to be bilingual English and Spanish
