Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manage to assist in daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, engaging in high customer service standards, ensuring product availability, and maintaining high standards of store presentation.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels by overseeing stock ordering, receiving, and merchandising. Items in ads/promotional programs are given extra care to keep stock for our customers.
- Ensure all merchandise is of current date with proper rotations by you and the stocking crew. This includes facing shelves regularly throughout the day for best customer appeal.
- Maintain a well managed product base and keep up with signage to help customers with ease.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked grocery area that meets company standards.
- Report to corporate, the general manager, and the store manager.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and effective phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with upper management to develop sales strategies and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in stock management and purchasing processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail software applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Previous experience in training development is advantageous.
