Overview:
This is a position for an experienced Cook that will handle all preparation of food for the cafeteria.
Primary Responsibilities:- Primary responsibilities will be to prepare daily meals offered as well as the carry-out items offered.
- A candidate must be able to handle raw food product, read, remember, and develop new recipes, understand food cost and safe food handling, along with a good attitude for customer relations.
- This position will specifically require short order cooking knowledge.
Each candidate must have a strong work ethic and be able to self-manage at times when volume is high. At times inventory and pos system knowledge will be necessary to support management.
Education and/or Experience:- A high School Education or GED is required. Associates or Bachelors in Culinary is preferred, but experience can be substituted.
- At least 5 years of experience in the culinary field is required.
- Food Cost Analysis, Inventory Management, Customer Relations, POS system management, Basic Kitchen Safety
- Must have knowledge in the use of a Meat Slicer, Steamer, Stove-top, Pellet Smoker, Flat-top Grill, Espresso Machine
- Abilities to understand spoken direction, abilities to read directions, ability to work as a team-player, ability to multi-task

Physical Demands:The physical demands that will be required inside the work place and for this position: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to handle freezing temperatures and heat while working in the kitchen.
Travel:No Travel Requirements
Work Environment:This is a cafeteria work environment. All staff must be presentable to customers in a front of house setting where the kitchen is exposed.
