JOB SUMMARY
DUTIES
Fire Protection Engineer providing fire protection programmatic implementation support at various NNSS and NLV facilities. Deliverables include fire protection assessments, fire hazards analysis, fire risk assessments, preparing equivalencies & exemptions, design reviews, procedure reviews, life safety code analysis, system walk-downs, and other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Level I- min. 12 years exp. B.S. degree; Training/Cert.- 1,2
Level II- min. 17 years exp. B.S. degree; Training/Cert.- 1,2
Level III- min. 20 years exp. M.S. degree; Training/Cert.- 1,2
Education/Experience Substitutions: 1. Certification A Professional Engineers License will substitute for 4 years experience; An industry certification such as PMP will substitute for 3 years of experience. 2. Education An advanced degree will substitute for 3 years experience; 5 or more years relevant experience will substitute for an advanced degree.
Principal IV- min. 20 years exp.
B.S. degree; Training/Cert.- 1,2
Education/Experience Substitutions: 1.
