Senior Designer/Drafter CADD Operator - MSTS, Mercury NV
Duration: 6 Months with two (2) Renewal Options

JOB SUMMARY
This position is to provide support to the Site Power operations and engineering staff by preparing high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power comprised of transmission, substation, and distribution elements up to 138 kV. Support to include routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams and all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Supports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches. Additional support will include locating, updating, and developing new drawings or updating existing drawings to address a backlog in configuration management needs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
CADD IV- 10 years High School & Tech Training 1
Education/Experience Substitutions: 1. Education An Associates degree will substitute for 1-year experience and a Bachelors degree will substitute for 3-years experience.
Graphic Designer III- 10 years experience Bachelors degree Training Certification 1,2
Graphic Designer IV- 12 years experience Bachelors degree Training Certification 1,2
Education/Experience Substitutions:
1. Education An advanced degree will substitute for 3 years of experience.
2. Vendor certification - Software certifications from established industry vendors (i.e., Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite for Windows, etc.) will substitute for 3 years experience.
Experience/Skills:
A general knowledge of system testing and operations is helpful to ensure system turnover scope is adequate in regard to pre-operational testing.
Leadership training in methods improvement is desirable.
