Job Description:
As a Line Cook at OLHSO Korean Restaurant, you will play a critical role in preparing and executing our menu items with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail. You will be part of a dynamic team that upholds the quality and authenticity of our dishes, ensuring an excellent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Korean dishes, including grilling, stir-frying, and assembling traditional Korean items
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure high-quality food production and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station during service.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines while adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with prep work, including slicing vegetables, marinating meats, and making sauces.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and plating.
- Manage time effectively to meet food production deadlines, especially during peak service times.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Line Cook, preferably in Korean or Asian cuisine.
- Knowledge of Korean ingredients, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-player mindset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and kitchen processes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen.
- Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
