Focus : The Process Safety Engineer is responsible for supporting the plant in development and implementation of regulatory, Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP), and industry best practices into operations. This position is a member of the Epoxy 1 and 2 staff and is responsible for collaborating across disciplines, departments, and locations to ensure implementation of process safety fundamentals.
Process Safety Engineer Essential Job Functions :
- Lead the plant's revalidation and implementation of LOPA / PHA and resolve identified gaps.
- Review engineering deliverables and designs to ensure safety matters are addressed.
- Manage and lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), HazOp, FMEA and other PSM-related studies for existing processes, projects, and modifications.
- Develop, enhance, and implement process safety fundamentals and operating disciplines.
- Drive improvements to the plants process safety culture through operations trainings; being an active participant in MOC reviews, procedure audits, and supporting the plant in process safety related root cause analysis (RCA).
