Focus: The Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the electrical assets at the St Gabriel, LA site. The successful candidate will work closely with Electrical Technicians, Production Engineers, Planners, Work Coordinators, Project Engineers, and Tech Center Electrical SMEs. Key responsibilities include overseeing electrical equipment repairs, projects, troubleshooting electrical equipment problems and developing & implementing maintenance strategies to ensure long term reliability and performance of the electrical equipment and infrastructure.

Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer Essential Job Functions:

• Serves as a technical resource related to electrical equipment maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, testing, design, and safety questions/issues/comments related to electrical areas & equipment.
• Facilitates root cause investigations of electrical related equipment failures and drives implementation of corrective action plans to prevent reoccurring failures.
• Participates in development and improvement of Most Effective Technology (MET) in collaboration with the Tech Center Electrical SMEs and works with Capital Project and Maintenance Teams to ensure effective application of MET and electrical specifications to new equipment design, repair, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Work with electrical equipment manufacturers, vendors, and contractors to ensure quality products and repairs to electrical equipment.
• Develop and implement effective asset strategies to improve reliability of electrical equipment and infrastructure at the site.
  
  

Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree* in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical engineering role or related engineering role at a manufacturing facility.
• Experience with NEC and NFPA electrical codes, Electrical Power Distribution systems, Electrical control systems, AC motors drives, logic and one-line diagrams, intercoms system, Motor protection relays, high and medium voltage switchgears, UPS, Battery Banks, industrial automation equipment, and power electronics.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - verbal and written. Self-driven and able to lead teams and work independently to achieve results.
• Must be available for call-ins, weekend call, plant turnarounds, and after hours at a short notice based on plant’s needs.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
