This full-time position will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial insight across the firm.We Need Your Drive and PrecisionAs our ideal candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis, and management of key financial performance indicators.In this role, you will thrive in a dynamic, small office environment in Houston, where you will be able to work a hybrid schedule (up to two days remote per week) following the completion of a successful 90-day onboarding process.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Performance Management
- Lead measurement, tracking, and reporting of key financial performance indicators
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial KPIs and recommend corrective actions when metrics fall below targets
- Oversee cash management and treasury functions
- Work with leadership to develop budgets and forecasts
- Oversee consolidation of financial data from all departments/service lines
- Implement new accounting controls, policies, and procedures based on best practice
- Lead the financial team and as needed, hire and manage a team of accounting professionals including development and performance management
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability while living the Oliva Gibbs Core Values
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- 12 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in a management role within a corporate/firm environment
- 5 years working in Accounting/Finance in a professional services organization
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with KPI development, tracking and optimization
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and data analytics tools
- Strong organizational skills, proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, analyze, organize, attend to detail, and follow through
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with team members at different levels
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite applications, specifically MS Excel
