Overview:
FT/40hrs. Responsible for providing therapeutic services to CSEC clients; assessment, treatment planning, individual and group and family therapy. Also responsible for completing progress notes and entering all information into program database. This role requires candidates to be comfortable working with sexually exploited youth. Qualified candidates must possess a master’s degree in psychology or social work and be registered with the BBS. Fluency in Spanish preferred. Starting pay rate of $70,000 per year. Will increase with bilingual skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a therapeutic relationship with each client. Assess individual needs and assist in meeting needs.
- Provide weekly individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients and caregivers.
- Provide target number of direct service minutes and proactively plan with supervisor around barriers.
- Maintain necessary contact with representatives of referring agency, if assigned.
- Maintain open communication, in accordance with therapeutic confidentiality, with family and team.
- Participate in the Child and Family Team process to speak to the mental health needs of the child.
- Maintain detailed records of significant contacts, incidents, relationships, treatment team meetings, group, individual, and family sessions, and case management activity. (i.e., Mental Health Documentation).
- Submit assessments, care plans, and another documentation to supervisor within timelines.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to best meet the needs of the client and family.
- Participate in peer reviews and other audit activities.
- Provide crisis de-escalation support to clients.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Master’s Degree in psychology or social work.
- Be licensed or registered with California Board of Behavioral Science.
- Record clearance free of criminal convictions.
- Working knowledge of computer programs including Outlook and Word. Trainable in use of Electronic Health Record. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
- Apply reason in problem-solving situations where only limited standardization may exist. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form.
- Possess good engagement skills and demonstrate a high level of professionalism, common-sense and be able to exercise good judgment.
- Must have a philosophy of support for at-risk children and families in line with the mission, vision, values, and statement of faith of Olive Crest.
