Overview:
FT/40 hrs. Responsible for providing service within the context of Wraparound, which assists the child in learning the skills necessary to interact successfully with adults and peers across all settings. This would include providing consistent, reinforcing support to youth that enables them to learn and practice pro-social behavior, problem solving, and coping skills in the least restrictive family setting with minimal reliance on formal supports. Qualified candidates must possess a related Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent and speak fluent Spanish. Starting pay rate of $24 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a one-on-one relationship with the youth by providing support, guidance and concrete assistance that focuses on the needs of the youth, while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Identify, access, and use resources to promote on-going support for client and family.
- Promote and practice appropriate social and emotional behaviors with clients.
- Adhere to all program requirements and timelines, including scheduling of initial meeting and attendance of Family Team Meetings and IEP meetings.
- Provide transportation and support in order for youth to participate in academic, social, recreational and/or employment activities.
- Maintain open communication and team support with Care Coordinators, Parent Partners, and the Family Team. Provide written plans to caregivers and team members as needed.
- Be available to provide telephone support and crisis de-escalation to youth and family, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, including holidays, through an on-call system.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year experience working or volunteering with youth.
- Must maintain a valid negative TB test.
- Maintain a valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record of at least 3 years as required by Olive Crest’s insurance carrier.
- Must maintain vehicle insurance throughout course of employment.
- Maintain criminal record clearance.
- Must have CPR and First Aid certification upon hire and maintained throughout employment
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30lbs.
- Must be able to walk on unstable ground and to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, use hands/ feel, climb, balance, and walk frequently.
- Apply reason in problem-solving situations where only limited standardization may exist. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form.
- Must have a philosophy of support for at-risk children and families in line with the mission, vision, values, and statement of faith of Olive Crest.
