Olive Rose Boutique is a growing women’s clothing boutique (EST 2018) located in charming downtown West Branch, Michigan.
We are looking for an energetic and friendly individual who will bring their sales talent, fashion sense, and passion for fashion to our store. This position includes assisting customers with merchandise and purchases, cleaning, preparing merchandise for display, shipping and receiving, and providing top notch service and friendship to our amazing customers!
In addition to working on the sales floor, this position will also be responsible for assistance in inventory intake and social media content creation (training provided - tech savvy candidates preferred).
This person must maintain a professional appearance through their image and dress. Reliable transportation and discipline in maintaining a schedule is a must. Schedule includes rotating weekend days and some holidays.
The right candidate will have a high ethics standard, integrity, discipline and company loyalty. We are passionate about the boutique, and we are interested in working with someone who feels the same way!
Physical requirements include strength to move boxes and handle merchandise in high and low areas.
MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet each customer that comes into the store in a warm manner.
Ensure that all customers receive excellent service through direct salesmanship, and prompt and courteous service via in-person, phone, email, and social media.
Assist customers with questions, needs and purchases.
Cultivate successful relationships and friendships with retail customers.
Assist customers with the fitting room.
Organize and clean shelves, counters, and tables.
Ensure that the store is neat, organized, and clean at all times.
Unpack shipments, receive inventory in the system, and sort.
Steam/tag/label clothing.
Restock the storefront as needed.
Prepare merchandise for display.
Set up merchandise on the sales floor.
Make inventory adjustments and handle damaged merchandise as needed.
Assist in physical inventory counts.
Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
Create content for social media.
Maintain and monitor petty cash.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1 Year Experience in a retail, customer service or sales environment preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
Knowledge of sales principles
SKILLS
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Maintaining high visibility and energy levels on the shop floor.
General familiarity with point of sale systems.
Ability to sit, stand and walk around for long periods of time.
Generally tech savvy.
Able to troubleshoot computer/technology issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
