Job Summary
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented individual with experience in both clinical and administrative roles. This role is essential to creating a seamless and patient-centered experience. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with adult patients in a primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information, documenting in the EMR.
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect lab specimens.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modification and assist in coordinating care plans.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Administrative Duties:
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy.
- Process co-payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- Keep the front desk and waiting area organized and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (EPIC preferred) and basic office software.
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures including injections and phlebotomy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism.
