What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Oliver Companies?
Our local team is growing and we're now seeking a new member! We are a brand new construction apartment complex looking for a motivated and energetic person that is able to work independently and in a team environment to complete a variety of maintenance tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building maintenance including but not limited to light plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpet & paint.
- Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment.
- Completing apartment unit turn overs
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all residents, management and coworkers.
- Engage in grounds activities to ensure parking lots and exterior surroundings are accessible and safe. Including but not limited to snow removal, lawn care, trash collection.
- Completing resident work orders
- Maintain building preventative maintenance measures
Job Requirements:
- Maintain a professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful attitude with the residents and staff.
- Ability to use a phone, take pictures, and update notes
- Able to plan, prioritize, and manage own work.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule
- Valid driver's license
- Physical ability to move around in all weather conditions; Bend, stand, sit, balance, climb stairs and ladders; Lift, carry, push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds
Experience:
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
Job offer is dependent on an acceptable background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- On call
