Position Summary
The AP/Finance Assistant is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the Finance Department. Process accounts payable and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data, and other duties as assigned.

Some college preferred
Training or equivalent experience in accounts payables and bookkeeping
Working knowledge of Excel
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting-based software
Ability to fulfill a work schedule that typically aligns with regular banking hours
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, with proper boundaries
Proven ability to work independently while staying aligned with the priorities of the supervisor
Position Responsibilities
Data and journal entry of financial transactions, primarily AP
Assist in month end close processes
Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits
Pick up, sort and distribute mail as needed
Take deposits to the bank
Work with Development Dept. as needed
Communicate concerns and trends to the supervisor
Ordering and monitor budgets of all supplies (centralized concept)
Back up, mail pick up from front desk
Back up, payroll processing
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
