Position Summary
The Executive Assistant is responsible for exercising independent judgement and considerable initiative to provide a wide range of administrative and managerial support to Executive Leadership. S/he may also serve as Project Coordinator for special assignments, which may involve maintaining accurate documentation, assigning tasks, controlling schedules, communicating progress and managing expenditures.

Valid South Carolina driver’s license
For the Executive Assistant
Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience in a related field
Experience in serving as an Executive Secretary or equivalent role
Ability to work independently while staying aligned with the priorities of the supervisor
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, with proper boundaries
Knowledge of PC-based software and relevant applications and office equipment
Position Responsibilities
Act as the representative of the Executive Director, filtering requests for effective allocation of time
Take authorized action, using initiative and discernment, to see that tasks are handled or delegated
Serve as Project Coordinator for special assignments from the Executive Director
Filter workload and projects away from the Executive Director to allow focus on larger goals
Manage written and oral correspondence from and to the Executive Director
Manage donor relations on behalf of the Executive Director, including Thank You correspondence
Maintain files and filing system for the Executive Office
Manage the Executive Director’s appointment, business travel and speaking calendar
Keep a running log of the Executive Director’s schedule for salary allocation purposes
Complete expense reports for the Executive Office
Provide authorized support for the Board of Directors and Board meetings
Plan, attend, prepare materials and presentation documents, order food, take minutes for meetings
Make conference registration, travel and lodging arrangements as needed
Maintain a detailed knowledge of OG governance processes and protocols, including the bylaws
Perform other duties as assigned
