Position Summary
The Facility Manager will report to the Director of Operations and is responsible for managing the operations, maintenance, and administration of Oliver Gospel’s facilities. This includes overseeing maintenance for buildings, mechanical systems, vehicles and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role ensures that the facility provides a safe, comfortable, and productive environment for all employees and visitors.

Valid South Carolina driver’s license
For the Facility Manager
High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field
Documented experience with and knowledge of professional construction, maintenance, and building
equipment systems
Proven ability to work independently while staying aligned with the priorities of the manager
Knowledge of PC-based software and relevant applications and office equipment
Position Responsibilities
- Schedule and supervise facility maintenance and repair activities, ensuring minimal disruption to the organization’s activities.
- Ensure the building meets safety and health standards by managing compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., OSHA, fire safety laws).
- Monitor building systems and equipment (e.g., lighting, HVAC, security systems) and oversee upgrades or replacements when necessary. Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors (e.g., cleaning, security, landscaping, waste management) to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Oversee office space planning, room allocation, and space utilization to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Assist with office moves and redesigns as needed, coordinating logistics and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain safety protocols, ensuring the building is compliant with health and safety standards (e.g., fire drills, emergency exits).
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee building security systems, including surveillance, access control, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with security teams or third-party agencies to monitor security and ensure safety for all occupants.
- Act as a point of contact for building occupants, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Communicate regularly with management, employees, and contractors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Keep the supervisor informed of all property and vehicle needs and recommendations
- Report on status of ongoing projects
- Keep supply room organized, clean and appropriately stocked
- Maintain the knowledge of all facilities and conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
