Summary:
Oliver Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler responsible for planning, forecasting, and coordinating the production workflow through the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including production, customer service, sales, and design, to ensure efficient scheduling and timely order completion.
This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to optimize production schedules, balance workloads, and meet customer deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working both independently and as part of a team, the Production Scheduler will play a critical role in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring production efficiency.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Production Scheduler, you will:
- Help translate customer demand into a feasible production plan.
- Understanding of capacity planning, identifying and managing production constraints.
- Familiarity with inventory control, planning and scheduling policies and procedures.
- Understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
- Highly proficient in developing & improving Excel based tools as well as managing and analyzing to provide data driven decisions.
- Familiar with basic cost analysis and forecasting as it relates to planning and scheduling.
- Ongoing interaction with production, sales, customer service, Engineering teams to determine and satisfy customer requirements and priorities.
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, equipment, tools and resource requirements.
- Provide planning solutions for any materials shortages, equipment downtime, or other constraints.
- Develop action plans as required to ensure the production is successful
- Work with all Department Managers to schedule required preventative maintenance on equipment.
About You:
You're a fit for the role of Production Scheduler, if your background includes:
- Minimum 5 years planning and production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing ERP.
- A degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or related discipline is preferred.
- Possess purchasing and procurement knowledge.
- Work with Excel -manipulating data, exporting and extracting data for the purpose of report creation.
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced, rapidly changing environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross functionally company -wide, team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills.
