As an Assistant Controller, you will take on a critical role within the finance department, contributing to financial strategies and ensuring they align with corporate goals. You will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining accounting and fiscal processes.
- Assists with the month-end accounting close process and preparation of work paper files and supporting documentation for account balances, accruals, tax provisions, and adjusting entries by assuming responsibility for all general ledger accounting.
- Performs detailed financial analysis of monthly results and documents major variances from budgets or other unexpected/unusual amounts.
- Assists in preparing and reviewing financial statements, Board packages, and other ad hoc financial reports required by management on a monthly basis.
- Assist in corporate consolidations on a monthly basis.
- Assists with developing accounting policy to ensure consistent application of accepted accounting principles.
- Prepares and manages the budgeting/forecasting process.
- Review client profitability and analyze costs as needed to adjust client pricing.
- Assists and oversees the external independent annual audit process.
- Assists and oversees the Accounting, Tax, and Compliance department.
- Strong foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in financial reporting and month-end procedures.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
