What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director & Actuary position at Oliver James?
We are seeking a Director & Actuary who is interested in playing a leading role on our Commercial Property Pricing team. This position is for a leader within the department who will be a vocal business partner when working with underwriters and internal / external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for managing, growing, and developing team members as appropriate and advocate for their continued development.
Desired Experience / Skills :
- Designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS)
- Minimum 7 Years of Actuarial Experience, with experience in commercial property pricing
- Leadership experience with managing or mentoring less experience team members
- Experience partnering with business partners, claims, product, underwriters and in product development and profitability management.
- Experience communicating results, including insights and recommendations within the department, to senior leadership
