Oliver Winery, the 30th largest winery in the U.S., is looking for a talented Bottling & Warehouse Manager to join our production team. This person will work under the direction of VP Operations within the Bottling and Warehouse Department. The primary responsibility of the Winery Bottling & Warehouse Manager is to ensure the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our bottling and warehouse operations through effective management, coaching and training of the teams. This position will ensure efficient operation and maintenance of our two state of the art bottling lines and our multiple warehouses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Development of High Performing Teams:
Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to bottling and warehouse teams while cultivating a motivated employee environment that supports our Company Values of Respecting People, Expecting Quality, Thinking Differently, and Getting Stuff Done.
Ensure team leaders utilize, maintain, and improve employee skills matrix to evaluate performance and development of their teams.
Develop and maintain team scorecards.
Manage individual and team performance levels to develop and maintain high level quality and efficiency standards.
Participate in hiring process & identify staffing needs in collaboration with Winery Operations VP.
Through facilitation of daily and weekly team meetings, provide clear direction and communication with respect to team goals, performance, schedules, and other company updates as needed.
Ensure sufficient staffing of full-time, part-time, and temporary labor as needed.
Approve time cards, PTO, and team schedules.
Bottling Operations
Oversee bottling operations to effectively and efficiently ensure completion of production schedules within established safety policies and quality specifications.
Responsible for ensuring bottling lines meet Uptime and OEE goals.
Lead and develop continuous improvement processes to drive performance with teams.
Manage bottling equipment maintenance processes. Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) is effectively scheduled and completed by both the bottling team and maintenance staff. Ensure PMs are sufficiently documented and updated as revisions are identified.
- Capable of performing and auditing QC checks and ensures adherence to specifications.
- Understands and is able to operate each machine as well as perform changeovers, sanitation, startup and shutdown of all equipment as needed.
- Develop and deliver on annual departmental budget and strategic plans.
Warehouse Operations
• Oversee warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and system integrities with focus on efficiency, organization including 5S initiatives, training, and record accuracy.
• Lead warehouse team to ensure effective scheduling and management of deliveries and receipts.
• Maintain the integrity of our inventory control systems and bond removal protocols.
• Monitor inventories as they relate to shipments and bottling schedules
• Lead semi-annual and annual inventory process and troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies
QUALITY AND SAFETY POLICY COMPLIANCE – Ensures adherence to personal safety, food safety, quality and environmental policies and practices:
- Maintains our safety systems and training processes to ensure bottling employee safety in accordance with Oliver Winery policies.
- Ensures staff adhere to all Quality and Food safety policies including GMP’s and HACCP. Analyzes and resolves problems relating to product quality in a timely manner to avoid need for rework.
- Participates in safety and quality inspections and audits.
- Monitors and supervises master sanitation and housekeeping within the Bottling department.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of management/supervisory experience (required).
- Four years’ experience in a high-volume plant production environment (preferred).
- Experience in beverage packaging environment preferred.
- Technical degree preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean and 6S processes.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured on company vehicles.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 or more lbs. for extended periods of time.
- Due to the nature of our business, must be over 21 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a physical job in a winery/production setting that will require long periods of standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders and steps, operating heavy machinery and the ability to observe others and the work environment. This position requires the ability to work on catwalks with a safety restraint. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday dependent upon bottling line schedule. Due to the nature of this role in manufacturing, this is an onsite role.
