Job Overview :
The Learning Technology and Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing technology solutions that enrich the learning experience throughout the organization. This role will implement the strategic vision established by the Global Head of Learning Delivery, Technology & Operations, with a particular emphasis on personalized upskilling initiatives and ensuring the effective adoption of all learning technology products. The manager will lead a team dedicated to optimizing the Degreed Learning Experience Platform (LXP) to meet the needs of learners and the Learning & Development (L&D) team while promoting operational efficiency within the L&D department through process automation and AI integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in the office. There is no option to be fully remote.
Responsibilities :
Learning Technology Portfolio Management :
Manage and optimize the learning and development (L&D) technology portfolio to align with organizational goals and learner needs.
Drive user engagement and satisfaction with the Degreed LXP and evaluate additional technologies to enhance personalized upskilling.
Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to keep pace with industry trends.
Operational Excellence :
Identify and automate manual processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the L&D function.
Develop best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues for end users.
Manage the learning technology budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development :
Foster a high-performing team culture through empathetic leadership and performance management.
Support the professional growth of team members and provide continuous developmental feedback.
Adapt leadership styles to enhance team effectiveness based on diverse perspectives.
Data Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement :
Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of learning technology.
Utilize analytics to demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) of learning technologies and improve learning outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with L&D initiatives and communicate progress to senior leadership.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology management, ideally within the Learning & Development sector.
Demonstrated expertise in managing learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).
Experience with the implementation and management of cloud-based learning platforms.
Familiarity with AI-driven learning technologies and adaptive learning systems.
Knowledge of API integrations and data interoperability among various learning systems.
Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and project management software (e.g., Trello), as well as an understanding of agile methodologies.
Strong grasp of automation tools and processes aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles as they apply to learning technologies.
Proficiency in eLearning software and authoring tools (e.g., SCORM, AICC, xAPI, Articulate), a plus.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $140,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
