We are seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join our remote northeast digital team. This position is great for you if you are a curious, collaborative, and open-minded React/React Native engineer with a strong focus on the user. We are looking for someone who thrives in a small-but-growing team environment and is excited to both teach & learn from teammates. We’re hiring a strong, diverse team across a range of skill levels, experiences, & interests to help deliver Ollie to dog bowls everywhere!
This role is based remotely in Northeast USA only (Washington DC to Portland, ME, including Greater NYC) and reports to the Technical Lead, App

What You'll Do:
- Maintain & enhance our Health Screenings experience for subscribed members of the Ollie platform in our React Native mobile application
- Expand upon the app’s integrations with our health screening models and APIs
- Iterate upon our integration with Storyblok CMS
- Enhance our design system and our overall member experience for maximum user delight
- You have1 years of professional experience or similar, building mobile applications in a modern cross-platform framework (React Native, Flutter, NativeScript) or building in React with some exposure to native mobile languages, including C , Java, Swift, or Kotlin
- You have working knowledge of Javascript, mobile navigation, and managed build workflows (via Expo Application Systems or similar)
- You are proficient in optimizing network requests via RESTful APIs
- You have a keen eye for developing beautiful user experiences
- You are interested in building accessible applications that work for users of varying abilities
- You are interested in expanding your own knowledge and sharing it with the team
- You have excellent communication & collaboration skills

- Dog Owner or Lover
- Experience working with C , Java, Swift, or Kotlin
- Experience using a CMS on a mobile platform
- Experience with any of the following libraries: react-hook-form, react-navigation, swr
- Experience working with unit testing in JavaScript or E2E testing with Maestro
- Experience working in e-commerce or similar field
- Experience working with AWS Lambdas
- History of maintaining large-scale applications
- Open source contributor
